Gamebird Chicks
Hi, my name is Dan Dowse from Sargent, NE. My family and I are the owners of Prairie Thunder Game Birds. We are specializing in the Chinese Ringneck Manchurian Cross Pheasant. These game birds are medium in sized, have good survival, and excellent flight capabilities. We have our own handpicked Avian Influenza tested, and NPIP approved breeding flock. We gather, incubate and hatch our own eggs.
Pheasants
Our Pheasants are raised in a 30’x 200’ brooder house for six weeks then transferred to eight 50’x300’ flight pens, where they will have plenty of room for exercise and great cover to hide in. All of our pheasants are fed a wel balanced, mill processed diet; so we can insure healthy, well feathered pheasants to our customers.
Adult game birds will be available by mid September. Due to high mortality rate in the month of March, we will no longer keep birds past February 28th. We are now offering straight run only pheasant chicks for sale on a limited basis at $1.10 ea, picked up on our farm May thru July. We will not send chicks by mail!! Other arrangements are possible. Pheasant numbers will be limited this year, so if interested, please book your birds early.

Pheasant Pricing
*A 25% down payment is required to hold birds with a balance due upon delivery of pheasants, unless other arrangements are made.
* Delivery is $1.10 a loaded mile. (Subject to change)
* Maintenance and feed charges of $.03 per day after December 31, 2011.
